Wonder Whoo
Wonder Whoo

Our mission is to inspire a journey of discovery,
where Wonder leads to a deeper experience of
Who God is and a greater understanding of
Who we are, so children of ALL ages
can live and love from a full heart.
There’s so much to love about Disney World, but one of my favorite pastimes is watching the people pour in. From little girls in princess gowns to burly men in Mickey ears, people of all ages, races, and backgrounds fill Main Street, their eyes wide with excitement. What is so captivating about this experience that captures the hearts of millions of visitors, year, after year, after year?
WONDER.
God planted a natural curiosity, or wonder, deep within our hearts, designing us to ask questions and seek answers about life and the world around us. As we wonder, we gather knowledge, which is an important part of learning WHO God is— it helps us begin to understand His nature, His attributes, and His ways. This knowledge provides a defense for what we believe and lays a solid foundation to build our faith upon. As we WONDER WHO God is, however, information is not enough to carry us through life because information rarely transforms a heart.
God’s command for us to love Him with all our hearts goes beyond intellectual knowledge. It’s about a deep, emotional, and relational connection with Him, where our hearts are fully engaged. Wonder has the power to awaken our hearts in a way that knowledge alone cannot do. When we experience the wonder of God — in the beauty of creation, the sound of His voice, the depth of His grace, the power of His Word, the peace in times of trial, the comfort of His love — we get a glimpse of His presence, and our hearts are stirred. When we begin to see Him not just as an abstract concept, but as a living, relational God who longs to be with us, our hearts are truly changed, allowing us to respond in love, trust, and obedience, which is the kind of relationship God desires most.
In this way, wonder bridges the gap between knowing about God and truly loving Him. It transforms knowledge into something more personal, meaningful, and intimate — a deep heart connection that God designed us for. When we experience God’s wonders, whether in nature, through His Word, or through the workings of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are invited to know and love Him with the fullness of our hearts.
Wonder is a feeling of awe or amazement that comes from experiencing something beautiful, mysterious, or surprising.
To wonder is to be curious and think deeply about something.
The wonder of God is a moment of spiritual awareness that makes us curious to know more. It is a glimpse of His presence.
"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!"
Psalm 34:8
Once Upon a Time,
God created a land full of wonder.
The sun rose, the moon glowed, and skies declared His glory.
Sand sparkled, winds blew, and tides came rolling in.
Flowers bloomed, mountains sang, and the trees clapped their hands.
Birds soared, lions roared, and fish swam in praise.
Light. Power. Beauty. Life.
He said it was all GOOD.
Then the Grand Finale.
Man. Woman.
Created in love. Made in His image.
He said it was VERY GOOD.
A tragic "fall" would pull them away, so He placed
wonder in their hearts,
to draw his children back to Him.

Imagine if you grew up in a world where everything
around you was full of beauty and wonder. Each new day began with a giant ball of fire, rising into a deep blue sky, and ended with brilliant shades of orange and pink painted across the horizon.
Imagine if mountains rose like towering giants, their shadows holding memories of courage and adventure. Trees stood tall like ancient guardians, their leaves dancing in the wind. Winding rivers passed through colorful fields of fragrant flowers that seemed to smile as you passed by. And water fell right out of the sky, covering everything in a soft, white blanket when the air was cold.
In this world, imagine if fuzzy caterpillars turned into
fluttering butterflies, squirrels with fluffy tails played games of chase, sleepy sloths hung upside down, and huge whales sang songs across vast, roaring seas. Imagine if elephants had long noses that hung down to the ground, while giraffes had long necks that stretched up to the trees. Imagine if pelicans had stretchy pouches in their bills to carry their food and kangaroos had cozy pouches on their
tummies to carry their kids.
In this world, imagine if every creature, from big to small, radiated a beauty and purpose that filled your heart with awe.
Imagine if everywhere you looked, took your breath away.
Sound like a Fairytale?
"For since the beginning of the world, God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Romans 1:20
There is no imaginary world with greater creativity, beauty, and wonder than the world right outside our door.
We are living in the most magical Wonderland ever created,
specially designed and created by God, the Master Artist, Himself.

Now, imagine a story where this beautiful land is
taken over by a dreadful curse. This once bright, magical world becomes a place of darkness and fear. But...before all hope is lost, the King of the land issues a mysterious promise that the kingdom
will be rescued. Imagine the story becomes an epic tale of adventure, friendship, courage, love and romance, where each page is filled
with twists, turns, and surprises, as heroes travel over treacherous mountains, into dark caves, through raging rivers,
and across deserts of hot sand.
In this story, imagine a land roaming with giants, frogs falling
from the sky, a donkey who can talk, an angel who bakes cake, and a fish large enough to swallow a man. Imagine if people drank from a magical rock, water turned to wine, bread and fish multiplied on demand, and breakfast magically appeared each morning on the ground. Even more remarkably, imagine if people walked on water, the blind could see, the deaf could hear, the lame could walk, and the dead could come back to life!
In this story, imagine the powers of good and the powers of evil
battle to the end, but through bravery, sacrifice, and the
power of love, a miraculous ending restores joy and peace to the kingdom and the land.
Sound like a Fairytale?
“For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who open their hearts to the Lord will inherit the land. In just a little while the wicked will vanish...But the humble of heart will inherit every promise and enjoy abundant peace." Psalm 37:9-11
There is no imaginary story written with greater adventure,
excitement, mystery, love, and wonder than the story God is telling. We are living in the most remarkable Epic Tale of all time, specially written by the Supreme Storyteller, Himself.
I've had a passion for Egrets for as long as I can remember. Every year on our annual beach trip, I would sit on the dock for hours, photographing them from every angle. I always felt closer to God when I was with them, so I will never forget the day when I first read in Job that He intentionally designed these beautiful birds to tell me WHO He is.
"But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you..." Job 12:7
From the very beginning, God intended to teach us through the world He created. As we marvel at this land of wonder, He tells of His glory through the skies, His power through the ocean, His majesty through mountains, and His provision and shelter through the trees. He declares His beauty and creativity through flowers, His order and timing through seasons, His playfulness and sense of humor through animals, and His vitality through every living thing. Every detail, from the smallest snail to the grandest whale is a glimpse of His presence. A hint of His character. A taste of goodness. A gift for our pleasure.
Nature is a universal language. Throughout all of history, people from every culture have been captivated by its beauty and wonder, even worshiping it in various ways. When given the opportunity to fully take it in, we all sense a voice greater than ourselves resonating deeply through our experiences, yet we need guidance to interpret what we are hearing. The story God has written helps us translate and understand the deeper messages behind what nature reveals. It guides us to see that the creation of Wonderland is only the beginning of an epic tale, full of beautiful encounters, hidden secrets, and divine clues, pointing us toward a Creator, inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they display knowledge...Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." Psalm 19:1-4
The creative world God made sings of His loving goodness, drawing our hearts towards something way beyond ourselves. At the same time, the story He has written, told through the Bible, reveals God as the Creator, unfolds His heart for humanity and declares His promises from creation to redemption.
The two work together: the wonder of God's Word translating what we see in nature, and the wonder of nature displaying what we read in God’s Word. Isn't that a wonder?!

Just like any good Fairytale, God's story has a villian. You don't have to live in this land very long to recognize this is true. But just like with nature, we need help translating what we see. From Genesis to Revelation, scripture provides the explanation, and everywhere we look, there is evidence to support what it tells...Wonderland is a love story at war, and the battle is over our hearts. (J. Eldridge)
Remember the land of wonder, where everything was good and beautiful? Now imagine, lurking in the shadows, a dark force begins to stir—silent and unseen at first, but growing stronger by the day. This force was not a mere creature, but a whisper in the hearts of the land, a seed of doubt that twisted the truth and filled them with fear. Imagine the dark force promised power and control, offering shortcuts to happiness, but only ever leading its victims into deeper loneliness and despair. It sought to destroy the very hearts of those who lived in the land, for it knew that if their hearts were lost, he could sever their connection to the King. Without the hearts of His people, Wonderland would eventually Fall.
God created us with hearts designed for relationship with Him. He made us in His image, with hearts full of love and wonder. And in that place of pure love, He granted us free will—because though it makes evil possible, it is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. (C.S. Lewis) In the earliest days of Wonderland, free will was put the test. God explained that one decision would bring life, the other death. When the enemy planted doubts over God's character, The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was freely chosen over the Tree of Life, allowing sin, suffering, and death into the land. The relationship between God and His people was broken.
As an evil, cunning villain, Satan knows the way to war against God's Kingdom is to attack the very thing He designed for relationship—our hearts. He prowls around our land, on a mission to corrupt our perception of WHO God is, confuse our understanding of what He says, distort our beliefs about WHO we are, and diminish our sense of wonder. It worked in the Garden. And it's been working ever since.
Steal God's Character
Kill our Identity
Destroy our Wonder!
Thankfully, THIS is not the end of the story...

The best part of any fairytale comes at the end, when good triumphs over evil, characters are transformed, and love conquers all...
As darkness spread and all hope seemed lost, imagine hearing whispers of a promise, echoing through the land. A hero would come, who would stand against the darkness, defeat its lies, overcome death, and rescue the hearts of those who had been lost. Imagine this hero, chosen and sent by the King, would carry the light of truth, showing the people that their hearts could be healed and their connection to the King could be renewed. Though the journey would be long, imagine the hero would bring love, hope, and a way back to the Kingdom’s true purpose—where wonder would reign once more and the land would be restored.
Before God separated light from darkness, spread out the waters, or created a living thing, He knew His beloved Creation would not choose the Tree of Life. This came as no surprise. He counted the cost of our free will, long before Wonderland came to be, and deemed us worth the price. The fulfillment of a promised savior, in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, is the most beautiful, WONDER-filled, love story of all time. The enemy comes to destroy...but Jesus came to overcome the enemy and restore the hearts of His children, by offering us a brand-new heart, and full access to Him again as our Father. Like each new restored heart, one day, God will make all things new on the earth, and He will dwell with His children in a perfect Kingdom, for all eternity.
How can we be reconciled back to our creator and receive our new heart?
Confess our sin and believe in Him with faith.
The most remarkable of all wonders is the transfer of righteousness from Jesus to a believer's heart, rescuing them from the bondage of sin and death, restoring them to a right relationship with God. Rescued. Redeemed. Restored. In return, He asks that we LOVE Him with all our heart. The very thing He's always wanted.

A.W. Tozer
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment...’” Matthew 22:37-38
"I WONDER WHO God is"— is a question nearly every person asks while searching to find understanding and meaning in a world so full of beauty, mystery, and pain. The beliefs we form in response to the question are vitally important because our perception of God is the lens through which we interpret and understand everything else. These beliefs will influence how we view ourselves, how we love others, and most importantly, how we love God, which is why A.W. Tozer famously said, "What comes to mind when we think of God is the most important thing about us."
God reveals Himself to us in two special ways: through the wonders He created and through what He says. Everything He made tells us something about Him and for much of history, this was the primary way people could know WHO He is. The glory of the skies, the grandeur of the mountains, the intricate details of nature, and the vitality of His creatures spoke volumes about His beauty, goodness, playfulness, power, and creativity. He planned this from the beginning, so we could all know then, and now, WHO He is without excuse.
Every word God speaks also tells us something about Him. A wonder all its own, the Bible is God's recorded Word containing historical accounts, teachings, wisdom, prophecies, and poetry, all inspired by God to communicate Who He is and the unfolding story of His love and redemption.
Here is just a sample of WHO the Bible says God is:
Creator, Love, Light, Father, Holy, Good, Provider, Protector, Healer, Deliverer, Faithful, Merciful, Kind, Righteous, Just, Wise, Redeemer, Eternal, Unchanging, Sovereign, and Friend.
Are these the qualities that come to mind when we think of Him? If we are being honest, likely some, more than others. Gathering knowledge about WHO God says He is, is only the beginning of actually believing WHO He is. If we are really to love Him with all our hearts, we need to experience that what He says about Himself is true. Together, Creation and God's Word—paint a rich, vibrant picture of a God who is still actively revealing Himself to those who seek to know Him. He is so much more loving, more fun, more playful, and more beautiful than we think He is. When we spend time experiencing Him through wonder, we can be transformed to LOVE Him with all our hearts.

C.S. Lewis
From Peter Pan, to Narnia, to Lord of the Rings, many of the most beloved stories revolve around the main characters' powerful journey of wondering, "Who am I?"—a question that not only defines their adventure but ultimately unlocks their true identity.
WHO WE ARE
The search for identity is a universal human experience, deeply rooted in our need for connection, belonging, and meaning. The desire for self-awareness is not selfish but part of God's design, propelling us on a journey toward purpose and deeper intimacy with Him. Seeking to discover our identity aligns with the command to love God with all our hearts, which involves knowing who He is, but also understanding His love for us and who He says we are.
God's Word says we are:
Loved and Chosen. Forgiven. Redeemed. Whole. Adopted. His Masterpiece. Members of God's family. Heirs of God. New Creations. Royalty. Righteous and Justified. Light in the World. Salt of the Earth. Citizens of Heaven. The Apple of God's Eye. And much more...
Our full identity is rooted in being a child of God, and as children made in His image, we are each created with distinct personalities, deep emotion, special talents, unique skills, vivid imaginations and big dreams. These characteristics are not random; they are part of God's "VERY GOOD" design for us to uniquely reflect His glory. When we embrace both our identity as God's children and the unique aspects of who we are, we can step into the fullness of His plan, living with clarity, passion and purpose, ready to make a meaningful impact in the world around us.
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." Isaiah 60:1
Our lives reflect God's wonder when we live in the fullness of heart and truth. In this wonder, we not only see the beauty of God's creation but also experience the beauty of His plan for our lives and His Kingdom.
WHO WE LOVE
By the end of most great stories, the characters discover that their identities are intricately tied to their purpose, their relationships, their responsibilities, and the sacrifices they make for the greater good. Peter Pan protected the Lost Boys in Neverland, the Pevensies break the curse of the white witch and are inducted as Kings and Queens of Narnia, and Frodo defeated evil and saved Middle Earth. Discovering our full identity in God's larger story always involves loving our neighbor...
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’’” Matthew 22:37-39
The command to love others as ourselves calls us to recognize that our identity is not just about individual aspirations, but about how we love and serve those around us. Loving others as ourselves means understanding that our worth is found in the ways we care for, protect, and uplift others, just as Peter's guardianship, the Pevensie's kingship, and Frodo's leadership, all centered on the well-being of those they are responsible for. This command invites us to see our own value not in isolation but in community, where our love for others reveals the fullness of who we are meant to be.
When we embrace the truth of WHO God is—loving and good—and the truth of WHO we are—His beloved children—it leads to a trusting heart that can openly give and receive love. In that place, true wonder unfolds in our lives. We no longer define our worth by performance or what the world says about us, instead we live confidently, with purpose, able to see others through God's eyes and love them from a place of abundance instead of need. God knew all along that loving Him, ourselves, and others would fulfill every longing we have—love, belonging, purpose, security, and hope. How is that for living Happily Ever After?!

When our kids were little, we loved to watch them dress up and play pretend. The girls twirled around in tutus, while the boys ran around in their favorite hero costumes. Using their imaginations was one of their favorite things to do.
C.S. Lewis, the beloved writer of fairy tales such as The Chronicles of Narnia, wrote,
“Someday you will be old enough to start reading fairytales again.”
His quote speaks to the timeless appeal of magical worlds like Neverland, Wonderland, and Narnia—places where wonder, adventure, and transformation await. These realms invite us to rediscover the childlike awe we often lose as we grow older, reminding us that, no matter our age, we are never too old to dream, imagine, seek, or to explore the mysteries of life.
God has intricately woven together His creation and His story, to engage our hearts in wonder. This is why there’s something timeless and captivating about fairytales that resonate deeply with the human heart because, at their core, they mirror the reality of our world. At the heart of every fairytale, we find elements of God’s creation—the beauty of nature, the wonder of adventure, and the struggle between good and evil. These stories echo the eternal battle we face between light and darkness, and they always point to a savior, a hero who rises to restore what was lost. Beneath the magic and mystery, fairytales reflect the deeper truths of our own lives: the pursuit of love, the hope for redemption, and the longing for a “happily ever after,” because they reflect the wonderful world God created and the story God is telling.
“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."
Mark 10:14
When we approach life with the heart of a child, open and ready to be amazed, we begin to understand the purpose and love God poured into everything He made. Through a lens of childlike wonder, we will see that Wonderland is not a fairytale at all, but the truest love story ever told. It's a story about our land, full of wonder, designed by a loving Father, to capture the hearts of His children, display His glory, draw us to Him, and teach us WHO He is and WHO we are...so all of God's Children will live Happily Ever After with Him in an eternal Kingdom where He makes ALL THINGS NEW.
